News Releases << Back Genworth Announces Filing for Savings and Loan Holding Company Status RICHMOND, Va., Nov. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Genworth Financial (NYSE: GNW) announces it has filed a savings and loan holding company application with the Office of Thrift Supervision with respect to the acquisition of InterBank fsb of Maple Grove, Minnesota. Genworth and InterBank have reached an agreement in principle, subject to negotiation of a definitive agreement. Genworth also filed an application for the U.S. Treasury Department's Capital Purchase Program (CPP) under the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).
