FEDERAL RESERVE statistical j release For immediate release June 10, 1969 MATURITY D;.STRIBUTIO%<fl^WTSTANDING NEGOTIMLE 4^P€B!0#^CtCMES OF DEPOSIT The total of outstanding negotiable time certificates of deposit (CD's) in denominations of $100,000 or more at large commercial banks as of April 30 was $17.6 billion. This was $1.2 billion less than the total reported for the previous month's survey. A year ago all reporting banks had $19.8 billion of large denomination certificates outstanding. The certificates maturing on the June 10 and June 16 tax and dividend dates totaled $776 million, compared to $1,151 million for the corresponding survey a year ago. The average maturity of total certificates outstanding was 3.4 months, the same as for the two previous monthly surveys. For the comparable survey a year ago, average maturity for outstanding certificates was 3.0 months.
