BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in leading centers for the week ended
September 2k aggregated |l0,06l,000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended
September 2k amounted to £130,290,000,000, or 29 per cent above the total reported^
for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New fork City there was an
increase of 26 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at
the other reporting centers there was an increase of
per cent#
