Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by banks
in leading cities for the wesic ending September l4, aggregated $6 ,304,000,000,” or 16
per cent above the total reported for the preceding week, which included but five
ousiness days, and 38 per cent below the total for the corresponding week of last
year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January I919 amounted to $5,873,000,000, as compared with*
$5 , 0 /0 ,000,000 for the preceding week and $9 , 576,000,000 for the week ending
September 16 of last ye?r.
