During the past three months total debits for the same centers amounted to 201,719 million dollars or 26 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 29 per cent compared with the corresponding three^months period a year ago, and at the 333 other centers there was an increase of 24 per cent.
