$1 1 , 975 , 000,000 or 27 . S per cent below the total of #16 , 537 , 000,©00 reported
for the preceding week. The current week included but five business days in
some of the larger centers on .account of the holiday on October 12.
Debits for the week under review v/cre $710,000,000 or 6.3 po*" cent above
those for the week ending October 13, 1926 , which also included but five business
days for some of the reporting centers.. JTc»r York City reported an increase of
1675,000,000, San Francisco $77,000,000, Minneapolis $29,000,d£)0, and Duluth
$21,000,000, w hile Cleveland reported a reduction of $43,000,OuO, P hilad elphia
, 000 , 000 , Pittsburgh $26 ,000,000 and Chicago $25 ,000 , 000.
Aggregate debits for l 4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January 1919 amounted to 111, 2o8,500,000 as compared with
$15,6^6,9^,000 for the preceding week and $10,573,681,000 for the week ending
Oqtober 1 3 , 1926 .
