BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM (For Immediate Release) October 12, 1950 G.6 BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 333 leading centers for the month of September aggregated 123,25$ million dollars. During the past three months total debits for the same centers amounted to 362,217 million dollars or 21 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in . New York City there was an increase of 22 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the 332 other centers there was an increase of 21 per cent.
