BOARD Of GOVERNORS OP THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM October 10, 1952 0.6 (For Immediate Release) BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month of September aggregated $139,078 million, During the past three months total debits amounted to $410,703 million or 11 per cent above the total reported for the corre spending period a year ago. At banks in New York City there vas an increase of 19 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the other centers there was an increase of 7 per cent.
