BAM DEBITS

Board of Governors
of tlie Federal Reserve System
October 10, 1936

Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for
the week ended October J, aggregated v9,515*000,000, or 5 percent above the total
reported for the preceding week and 33 percent above the total for the correspond­
ing week of last year.
Aggregate debits for tlie l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1913 amounted to $2,726,000,000, compared with $2,381,000,000
the preceding week and $6,576,000,000 the wed.; ended October 3
last year.
