BANK DEBITS

Aggregate debits to 'individual account, as reported by 1U7 of
the country’ s leading clearing house centers for the week ending
November 2U, were 9,010 millions, marking a decrease of 811 millions
from the relatively large total of 9,820 millions reported for the
week before. Smaller figures are shown for all the important centers,
except Pittsburgh, New Orleans and Dallas«
As compared with the corresponding week in 1919, debits for the
week under review are 913 millions aaaller, though for some of the
important centers, notably Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, larger figures
for the week are reported than the year before- For New York City debits
during the most recent week were U, 732 millions, as compared with 5,365
millions during the corresponding week in 1919» and the average for the
47 weeks of the year was about 4,600 millions, as against U ,622 millions
for the -same period of the past year »
