Released for publication Sunday naming Nov* 2U, 19I 8• St .60 PRESS Sr JATM JT. November 2 3 , I 9I 8 » Below is given the Federal Reserve Boards fourteenth weekly statement of total debits to deposit account, reported through the Federal Reserve banks by about 1^5 of the ct-untryfs more important clearing houses. Transactions cover the weekly periods ending Wednesday, November 13 and 20 . The statement closes with a recapitu lation giving comparative data by reserve districts for centers reporting both weeks. Figures for the latest week show considerable increases in debits to individual aocount in almost all districts* These increases are probably due in large part to the movement of funds in anticipation of the installment payment on the fourth Lib erty loan, due November 21* Smaller increases in debits to bank account are also shown in the majority of districts* Comparative data for the last two weeks cover debit transactions for clearing house banks in about 1^+0 centers. Figures of reporting clearing houses by Federal Reserve districts are as follows (in thousands of dollars, i . e . , 000*s omitted): Debits to Individual % * Account ♦ November 13 i Novanber 20 BOSTON Bangor Boston Fall River Hartford Holyoke Lowell New Bedford New Haven Portland Providence Springfield Waterbury Worcester NEW YORK Albany Bingh onton Buff?,lo New 'Sfork Pas sai c Rochester Syracus e PHILADELPHIA Altoona Chester Harrisburg Johnstown Lancaster Philadelphia Reading Scranton Trenton Wilkes Barre Williamsport Wilmington York 2,532 233,321 7-,|*55 17^13 3,261+ r*?7o U.U 51 1^,935 6 ,1+99 2 7 ,5 ^ 11,61S 6,210 1^,596 2,902 290,982 9,61+0 25,675 10,050 3,370 6,059 i+,66s 2,670 , 5*^3 1+3 1 , 61+8 5 >3^6 12 , 52s 7,785 6 , 1+99 3,2SU 9,'672 3,^85 Debits to Banks1 and Bankers* Account NoVetnber 13 : November 2C 363 220,983 2+7 21,225 1,323 683 291+ 3,322 6 127 7 ,1+69 1 7 ,^ 5 9 , 11+9 726 80 5 1,290 1*+,1+51 13,520 2 ,7 ^ 1,977 132 ' 1+88 2 5 3 ,^ 8 1+31 1,173 5*+3 257 1+08 3 >^3 1 ,Uu.c 231 r\, CS ( 1 .1+32 103 31+0 26,231 16 ,607 9,032 1 7 , 201+ % 15,718 2,69s 59,727 3,779,197 3,273 : : : 2,71+2 60,553 k ,053,165 3,675 27,672 15»671 11,700 1 , 589,212 U27 921 2,913 *+,793 1+17 765 1,2>+S 895 38 153 21 272 2,159 5,323 6,530 12,272 1 , 620,110 70 178 37 303.852 i+,s65 370,107 290,909 9,201 8,891 2,096 17^ 93 2,220 212 101+ 6,731 3,567 9 ,1+10 U32 237 3,026 39 l+l St .80a Debits to Individual Debits to Banks' and __________ Account_________ Bankers1 Account November 13 November 20__ :__November 13 November 20 4. 5.
