r/ Revised figures: Rochester, New York: September 1953, 44l,?6o
~
Lima, Ohio: September 1953, 67,034
Debits figures previously published for Bismarck for 1952 and 1953 have been
further revised to exclude debits to demand deposit accounts of the State and
of other political subdivisions held by a State owned bank in that center which
acts as fiscal agent for the State and several other political subdivisions.
Activity in these accounts frequently resulted in large variations in debits
which had little relation to changes in local business activity. Current debits
are being reported on the new basis. Revised monthly figures for 1952 and 1953
are available on request.
