BAM DEBITS

Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board, by
banks in leading cities for the week ending November 9 * which included but five
business days in most of the reporting cities, aggregated $4,6l6,000,000, or 24
per cent below the total reported for the preceding week and 36 per cent below
the total for the corresponding week of last year, which also included but five
business days in most of the reporting cities.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January 1919 amounted to $4,226,000,000, as compared with
$5 ,590, 000,000 the preceding Week and $6, 670, 000,000 the week ending November 11
of last year.
