BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM (For Immediate Release) November 13> 1952 G.6 BANK DEBITS--DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month of October aggregated $154,237 million. During the past three months total debits amounted to $417,956 million or 8 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 13 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the other centers there was an increase of 6 per cent.
