SANK DEBITS Debits to individual accovmts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by banks in leading cities for the week ending May 4, aggregated $3,3$0*000,000, ° r 30 per cent above the total reported for the preceding week and 3*+ ?er cent below the total for the corresponding week of last year. Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published weekly since January 1919 amounted to $7*811,000,000, as compared with $6,004,000,000 the preceding week and $12,081,000,000 the week ending May 6 of last year.
