BAM DIBITS

Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ending May 24, a.ggregatod $5,703*000,000, or
10 per cent below the total reported for the preceding week and 2 per cent above
the total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $5,328,000,000, as compared with
$5.5X0,000,000 for the preceding week and $5,154,000,000 for the week ending May 25
of last year.
