BARK DEBITS Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by banks in leading cities for the week ending May 6, aggregated $ 1 2 ,7oo,000,000, or 11 per cent above the total reported for the preceding week and 30 per cent below the total for the corresponding week of last year. Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have beon published weekly since January 1919 amounted to $12,021,000,000, as compared with $10,836,000,000 for the precoding week and $17,393,000,000 for the week ending May 7 last year.
