Income and excess profits tax payments due on March 15 , also the increase in the volume of stock exchange transactions, account for the large increase wnich is shared by all the important centers, except New Orleans and Dallas* Of the total increase for the week of about 1 ,U 62 millions the share of New fork City is 7^5*^ millions, or about 5^ cent* For the week ending March 19$ 19^9 > debits to individual /account aggre gated 3,105 millions, or 2,172 millions less than for the corresponding week of the current year.
