BANK DEBITS--DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS

Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month of
February aggregated 114,038 million dollars. During the past three monthstotal
an increase of l6 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a
year ago, and at the other centers there was an increase of 25 per cent.
