BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month
of February aggregated $128,023 million. During the past three months total
debits amounted to $411,343 million or 5 per cent above the total reported for the
corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City and at the other centers
the increases were also 5 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months
period a year ago.
