BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM (For Immediate Release) March 12, 1952 BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 342 leading centers for the month of February aggregated $128,023 million. During the past three months total debits amounted to $411,343 million or 5 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City and at the other centers the increases were also 5 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago.
