Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ended June 19, aggregated $8,673,000,000, or
23 per cent above the total reported for the preceding week and 5 Per cent above the
total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $8 ,090,000,000, compared with $6,538,000,000
the preceding week and $7,723,000,000 the week ended June 20 of last year.
