BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEFOSIT ACCOUNTS, EXCEFT INTERBANK'. ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported by banks in loading centers for the week ended
July 2 aggregated $12,565*000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended July 2
amounted to $132 ,153 *000,000, or 20 per cent above the total reported for the
corresponding period a year ago* At banks in New York City there was an increase
of llj. per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the
other reporting centers there was an increase of 2 b per cent#
