BAM DEBITS

Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ending July 27, aggregated $5,373,000,000, or
14 per cent below the total reported for the preceding week and 3*+ P©r cent below
the total for the corresponding week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published
iweekly since January 1919 amounted to $4,973,000,000, as compared with
15.7^2,000,000 the preceding week and $7,591,000,000 the week ending July 29 of last
year.
