Bank debits as reported by banks in 333 leading centers for the month of
June aggregated 108,629 million, dollars. During the past three months t o t a l debits
for the same centers amounted to $08,581 million dollars or llj. per cent above the
t o t a l reported f o r the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York ^ity
there was an increase of 16 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months
period a year ago, and at the 332 other centers there was an increase of 13 percent.
