BOARD OF GOVERNORS OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM (For1 Immediate; Release) July 12, 1949 BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO P ^ b f e , ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 333 leading centers for the month of June aggregated 109,068 million dollars. During the past three months total debits for the same centers amounted to 308,058 million dollars or slightly below the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 1 per cent compared with the corresponding three-months period a year ago, and at the 332 other centers there was a decrease of 1 per cent.
