BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported b y banks in leading centers for the w e e K ended
December 31 aggregated $ 1 2 , 0 0 0 , 0 0 0 .
Total debits during tho 1$ weeks ended^
December 31 amounted to $150,628,000,000, or 23 per cent above the total reported
for the corresponding period a year w-go. At banks in New York City there was an
increase of 17 per cent compared with the coresponding period a year ago, and at
the other reporting centers there was an increase of 27 per cent.
