Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System

Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banka in leading cities for the
week ended January 22, aggregated $G,654,000,000, or 1 per cent abosfe the total re­
ported for the preceding week and 25 per cent above the total for the corresponding
week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total has been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $2,0^9,000,000, compared with $7,979,000,000
the preceding week and $6,465,000.,000 the week ended January 23 of last year.
