for the preceding week and 7 percent above the total for the corresponding week
of last year, which. als«> included but five business days.
Aggregate debits for the 1*41 cities for which a separate tctal has been
maintained since January 1919 amounted to $ 4 ,9 0 5 ,0 0 0 ,0 0 0 , compared with
$6 ,3 3 3 ,0 0 0 ,0 0 0 the preceding week and $4 ,5 8 4 ,0 0 0 ,0 0 0 the week ended December 23
of last year.
