R. 285 For immediate release Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System February 33, 191+2 BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported b y banks in leading centers for the w e e k ended February 18 aggregated $10,615,000,000. Total debits during the 13 weeks ended February 18 amounted to $11*6,917# 000,000, or 18 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in N e w York City there was an increase of 11 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the other reporting centers there was an increase of 22 per cent.
