Released for publication Sunday morning Fab* 2, 151SI not earlier - St .1S3 PRESS STATEMENT * February 1, lS'l^ * Below is given the Federal Reserve Board* s twenty-fourth weekly statement of total debits to deposit account, reported through the Federal' Reserve Banks by about 15 O of the country*s more important clearing houses* Transactions cover the weekly periods ending Wednesday January 22 and Wednesday January 2 5 , Further substantial reductions are shown in the total debits to both in dividual and bank accounts. For the first the decline for the week amounts to about 13 per cent.
