BAM DEBITS

Debits to individual accounts, as reported to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the week ending February 11, aggregated $11,2C3,000,00C
or 4,6 per cent below the total of $11,746,000,000 reported for the preceding
••^week. New York City reports a reduction of $3°0,000,000, Philadelphia $64,000,000,
' San Francisco $21,000,000 and St. Louis $17,000,000. The largest increase,
$^-7,000,000 is shown for Minneapolis.

As compared with the week ending February 13, 1924, debits for the week
under review show an increase of $2 ,675*000,000 or J l . ^ P 91" cent, most of the
leading centers participating in the increase. New York City reports a gain of
$1,757,000,000. Other large increases are as follows: Chicago $136,000,000,
Boston $76,000,000, Pittsburgh $71,000,000, Minneapolis $52,000,000, Philadelphia
$51,000,000, San Francisco $35,000,000 and St, Louis $30,000,000.
Aggregate debits for l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January, 1919* aggregated $10,591*710,000 as compared with
$11, 125,963,000 for the preceding week and $8,013,128,000 for the week ending
Fabruary 13, 1924.
Debits to individual accounts were reported to the Federal Eeserve Board '=■
for banks in 254 centers, of which 243 are included in the summary By Federal
reserve districts.
