BANK DEBITS

Volume of business for the week ending February S shows a decrease as c “
pared with the preceding week of about $218,000,000, or 2 .7 Per cent. ^ '0&
leading centers report smaller figures for the more recent week, the aecre^
New.York City alone being $235.000,000.
On the other hand, larger to a s ^
week before are shown for Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, Kansas Cl y an
Dallas.
As compared with the week ending February 9, 1921 the volume of business for
the report week was larger by $270,000,000, or more than 3 .Per cerit*

were reported by many of the leading centers, including New York, whose mere
constituted about 90 per cent of the total gain for all reporting centers,

the cities reporting reduced totals this year compared with^last was San Francisco

The number of centers reporting this week is 232.
