BAM DEBITS

Debits to individual accounts, as reported, to the Federal Reserve Board by
banks in leading cities for the wee2c ending December 2, which included but five
business days, aggregated $7,921,000,000, or 8 per cent above the total reported
for fche preceding week and 29 per cent below the total for the corresponding
week of last year, which alsoincludcd a holiday.
Aggregate debits for the l4l centers for which figures have been published
weekly since January I 919 amounted to about $7,350,000,000, as compared -ith
$6,779,000,000 for the preceding week and $10,434,000,000 for the week ending
December 3 , of last year.
