Dehits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the
week ended December 25, which only included five business days, aggregated
$7 1+09,000,000, or 26 percent below the total reported for the preceding week an
25 percent above the total for the corresponding week of last year, which also in­
cluded #nly five business days.
Aggregate debits for the lUl cities f*r which a separate total

tained since January 1919 amounted to $6,881,000,000, compared with $9,319,000,000
the preceding week and $5,481,000,000 the week ended December 26 of last year.
