BANK DEBITS

Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System
December 19, 1936

Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the
week ended December lb, aggregated $11,875.000,000, or 27 perceftt above the total
reported for the preceding weelc and 19 percent above the total for the correspond­
ing week of last year.
Aggregate debits for the l4l cities for which a separate total lias been main­
tained since January 1919 amounted to $11,050,000,000, compared with $8,671,000,000
tjio preceding week and $9,284,000,000 the week ended December IS of last year,
