BANK DEBITS— DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS
Bank debits as reported b y banks in 27I* leading centers for the month of
November aggregated 50,673 million dollars. During the past three months total
debits for .the same centers amounted to 158 ,1*1*1 million dollars or 13 percent above
the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York
City there was an increase of 6 percent compared with the corresponding three-months
period a year ago, and at the 273 ^ther centers theie was an increase of 18 percent.
