Total debits during the 13 weeks ended November 26 amounted to Sj>139 ,358 ,000,000> or 25 per cent above the total reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 20 per cent compared with the corresponding period a'year ago, and at the other reporting centers there was an increase of 27 per cent.
