Total debits during the 13 weeks ended April- 1 amounted to $ 11+1 ,286,000,000, or 13 per cent above the total reported for the corre sponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there w©,s an increa.se of i+ per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago, and at the other reporting centers th^ro was an increase of 18 per cent.
