Jbrm FR-285 STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS For immediate release BANK DEBITS Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System April 17, 1939 Debits to individual accounts, as reported by banks in leading cities for the week ended April 12, aggregated $6,997,000,000, or 21 percent below the total re ported for the preceding week, which included five business days in some of the reporting centers, and 7 percent above 'the total for the corresponding week of last year.
