BOARD OF GOVERNOR^ OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM G *6 (For Immediate Release) April 13,1950 BANK DEBITS—DEBITS TO DEPOSIT ACCOUNTS EXCEPT INTERBANK ACCOUNTS Bank debits as reported by banks in 333 leading centers for the month of March aggregated 115,738 million dollars. During the past three months t o t a l debits for the same centers amounted to 318,619 million dollars or 5 per cent above the t o t a l reported for the corresponding period a year ago. At banks in New York City there was an increase of 7 per cent compared with the corresponding threemonths period a year ago, and at the 332 other centers there was an increase of 3 per cent.
