COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY

Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $939 million at weekly
reporting large commercial banks during the week ended August 29.

The largest offsetting net increase was $18 million in loans to manufacturers
of other nondurable goods.
