INDUSTRY

Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $179 million
at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended October 25.
The principal net decreases were $89 million in loans to manufactures
of machinery, $57 million in loans to manufactures of textiles, apparel,
and leather, and $46 million in loans for construction.
