CHANGES IN COMMERCIAL AMD INDUSTRIAL LOANS BY INDUSTRY

H.12

Commercial and Industrial loans increased in ten districts and a net of
$205 million at weekly reporting member banks during the week ended May 15 •
The principal net increases were $33 million in loans to the retail trade,
$32 million to the construction industry, $29 million to manufacturers of food, liquor,
and tobacco products, $26 million to manufacturers of textiles, apparel, and leather
products, and $47 million to unclassified borrowers.
