March 27, 1974

INDUSTRY

Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $2,013 million at
weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended March 20, 1974.
The principal net Increases were $1,634 million in total classified
loans, $379 million in total unclassified loans and $210 million in loans
to manufacturers of machinery.
The largest offsetting decrease *as $54 million in loans for bankers acceptances.
