LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY

Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $512 million at weekly
reporting large commercial banks during the week ended March 17.
The principal net increases were $64 million in loans to foreign commercial
and industrial loans, $78 million to all "other" loans, and $225 million to unclassified
borrowers.
The largest offsetting net decrease was $59 million in bankers' acceptances.
