IIP H.12 RESERVE FEDERAL m. statistical release For immediate release January 6, 19&5 COMMERCIAL AMD INDUSTRIAL LOAMS OUTSTANDING BY IMDOSTOY Commercial and industrial loans increased a net of $370 million at weekly reporting member %***%* during the week ended December 30. The principal net increases were $155 million in loans to the mini ng industry, which includes producers of petroleum and natural gas, # 5 0 million to "all other types of business concerns, $104 million to petroleum refiners, $92 million to transportation, communications, and other public utilities, and $46 million to manufacturers of chemicals and rubber products. The largest offsetting net decrease was $128 million to retail trade. The outstanding loans and changes during the week and since mid-year are shown below; fourth column shows the changes during the comparable period last year.
