H.12 For immediate release January 22, 1969 COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY Commercial and industrial loans decreased a net of $161 million at weekly reporting large commercial banks during the week ended January 15. The principal net decreases were $136 million in loans to transportation, $95 million to manufacturers of chemicals and rubber products, and $227 million to unclassified borrowers. The larger offsetting net increases were $112 million in loans to petroleum refiners, and $74 million to communication.
