RETAIL FUREITHRE REPORT FOR JULY 1955

Instalment accounts outstanding at furniture stores
continued to ircrease slightly during July, Tenth-end balances

The retail value of furniture store inventories
decreased 3 per cent during July, but at the end of the month
was 3 per cent above the yaar-ago level# At the July rate of
sales, stocks on hand amounted to about a U months1 supply.
