I n a t a l n e n t and charge account r e c e i v a b l e s a t r e p o r t i n g
f u r n i t u r e c t o r e s declined 3 p e r cent and 5 p e r c e n t , r e s p e c t i v e l y , i n
Januc-ry. Total roceivablco were unchanced f r o n a year ugo. Collections
on instalment accounts were 12 p e r cent of outstandings a t the
"beginning of the month.
S a l e s a t r e p o r t i n g s t o r e s declined seasonally i n January
but were s u b s t a n t i a l l y above the volume i n January 1961.
