RETAIL FURNITURE REPORT FOR JUNiC 1959

Instalment and charge accounts receivable at furniture
stores at the end of June were 1 per cent above the previous month
and 8 per cent above a year ago. Collections on instalment accounts were 12 per cent of the amount outstanding at the beginning
of the month.
Total net sa!tes at reporting stores increased 2 per ccnt
from the previous month. For the first half of 1959 total sales
'./ere 10 per cent over the like period a year ago.
